π Submitting Assessments: What "Submit What You Have" Really Means
To pass each class in your MBA program, you must: submit every assessment and achieve an average of 80% or higher. If you don't submit, you risk failing the module and may need to retake it at an additional cost.
We know some founders hesitate to submit because they don't feel they have completed the assessment as intended, for example, their landing page feels imperfect, or they struggled to complete a number of experiments within the traction sprint stage.
But here's the key: progress is better than perfection. Submit what you have and use the video to walk us through it.
π― What We're Looking For
Your assessment is a video that demonstrates:
- What you've done so far
- What you've learned from it
- What you're planning next
This applies whether your work is at an early stage, mid-pivot, or partially validated. Your submission should reflect where you really are, not where you wish you were.
π Video length: aim for 12β20 minutes. Under 12 minutes usually means there isn't enough evidence yet β go back through the checklist below before you record. We won't review past the 20-minute mark, so lead with your strongest evidence.
β What Counts As a Valid Submission?
You can still submit a strong video even if, for example:
- You only managed to do 3-7 customer interviews
- Your landing page is still being developed (not launched yet)
- Your experiment didn't generate results
- You've had unexpected challenges or pivots
- You've only tested part of your idea
The key is to show that you're actively learning, building, and moving forward. Your presentation can be about how your plan and next steps are to get to more customer interviews, launch your page, and address your new idea if you pivoted.
π₯ What to Include in Your Video
The best video submissions clearly walk through:
- Your Process β What did you try? How many interviews or tests? What tools or templates did you use?
- Your Learnings β What surprised you? What did or didn't work? What insights did you gain?
- Your Pivot Points β Did you change your audience, problem, or solution? Why?
- Your Thinking Going Forward β What risky assumptions are left? What will you test next?
- Your Assets β Show your templates, boards, pages, even if they're incomplete or messy.
π Use the templates provided in each sprint, even partial completion is useful.
π¬ Worried It's Not "Good Enough"?
You're not being graded on how "impressive" your startup looks, you're being graded on:
- Your thinking process
- Your willingness to test and learn
- Your ability to articulate progress
The single biggest reason founders lose points isn't an unfinished business β it's not submitting enough evidence. Attach your scripts, trackers, boards, or notes even if your video doesn't cover everything. A messy, honest submission with evidence attached will always score better than a polished story with nothing behind it.
See the grading criteria at the bottom of each assessment page on the platform.
π Don't Wait for Perfect
Submit what you have. A clear, reflective video will always move you forward more than waiting for things to be finished.
