Can I take a break from the program?

Yes, founders can request short holidays from the program, and your place in your current cohort is preserved.

For short holidays (less than 3 weeks):

• Book a call with your cohort manager, or let them know directly that you're taking the holiday.
• Ask your cohort manager for the recordings of any sessions you'll miss, and revisit the material when you're back.
• If the holiday overlaps with an assessment deadline, request an extension and check whether William Jewell College will approve it. If they don't, you must submit before you leave, or you may get penalties.
• You can reschedule your mentor sessions directly with your mentor.
• You'll still receive an absence for any squad sessions you miss during the holiday.

For longer holidays:

Reach out to your cohort manager to understand your options. Every situation is considered based on its own context.

Mid-semester breaks are allowed, but they come with a cost: you'll be financially liable for the entire semester. Always speak to your cohort manager before deciding, so you understand exactly what a break means for you.

Leave requests made mid-semester are subject to the standard refund policy.
