Federal loan funds are applied to eligible charges on your William Jewell student account. If the amount of eligible federal aid actually disbursed to your account is greater than the allowable charges on the account, an eligible credit balance may remain and can then be issued to you.
A financial aid refund is still borrowed money and remains part of your student loan balance.
Important: The refund amount is not calculated simply by subtracting tuition from the $20,500 annual loan maximum. Financial aid is disbursed by payment period, and the amount actually disbursed and the charges on the account determine whether a credit balance exists.
